Philip Wilson, CLTC, CEA, CSSCS, CCPS, CSLA
Philip Wilson understands firsthand how important it is to make smart financial decisions and to plan for your future. In 2005, with a small child and a baby on the way, Philip suffered a massive stroke, leaving him paralyzed and unable to work. Since that time, Philip has worked hard to make a complete recovery in order to continue his work as a financial planner, be a husband to wife Rhonda, and father to his son Matthew and daughter Caroline. Rather than derail him, Philip’s experience has made him more determined than ever to help others achieve their financial goals.
After attending Auburn University and graduating from The University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in statistical mathematics, Philip has been a practicing financial advisor since 1989. He has obtained many professional certifications in the areas of estate planning and long-term care planning. One certification, CSSCS (Certified in Social Security Claiming Strategies), is earned by advisors who have demonstrated expertise in planning for Social Security. As of January 2018, Philip is the only advisor in the state of Alabama with this certification and one of less than 50 across the country.
Philip is passionate about helping seniors plan for their future after retirement and offers free seminars for Social Security planning. The son of a Baptist minister, Philip is the author of two books, God Honoring Finances and Finding Peace in Life’s Storms, co-written with Rhonda, both available at Amazon or on their site.
